Sat Feb 28th Discoteca Tropical & Planet Trip bring back “Barrioteca” this time in House Party format for “Baile Inolvidable” A 3 level take over of the Iconic Abercrombie with a stacked lineup of some of the cities finest DJs and some very special guests from Melbourne. Checked as Sydney’s night of the year our doors are open all night with everyone welcome for post Mardi Gras Parade kick ons and anyone who has snapped up tickets to see Bad Bunny looking for a proper afters option.
As always expect a heavy mix of the full spectrum of Latin sounds from classic Reggaeton & Dembow to Guarancha, Cumbiaton and more in the club room, a short walk up the stairs will take you to the tropics with everything from Salsa, Boogaloo, MPB, Latin Funk, Caribbean rhythms and beyond, or take the lift to the rooftop to soak up all things Latin House & Intercontinental Boogie flavours, truly an option for all music lovers with early pre sale tickets running as cheap as they will get, we suggest to not sleep on these.

It’s a space to bring records, share knowledge, learn from each other and connect, whether you’re a seasoned DJ, just starting out, or simply curious about vinyl culture.
There’s no pressure, no hierarchy, just music, conversation, support and collective growth.
Her Spin on Things exists to create a safe, inclusive environment where we show up for each other, amplify each other’s voices and keep the culture moving forward, together.

'Soul Survival' is a series of music events lovingly curated by Fealofani Elisara.
Although she is best known for her creations as a jewellery designer, music has always been the driving force behind her life and work.
Her earlier years as a hip hop musician spawned a passion where her sole intention with these events is to create a space for us to have genuine connection in our community.
Ego is checked at the door, (where creatives aren't put on a pedestal), but instead honoured and celebrated because they genuinely love sharing their stories through art & music.

Bloomin' Souls Soul Club
Northern Soul on 45s. Fast, rare, and made for the dance floor.
Born in the UK in the 1970s, Northern Soul grew from digging deep into the B-sides of Motown and American soul. Records pressed in tiny numbers, played loud, danced hard, and shared between true selectors.
Blooming Souls began back in 2013 created by @_foxy_fuzz , @pattilabeefe & @missybakerr and now returns for its second chapter, bringing original DJs and their rare 45s back where they belong.

Celebrating the global rhythm diaspora, from Latin soul to Afrobeat, Brazilian funk to Caribbean grooves, each set is spun live on vinyl by some of Sydney’s most passionate selectors.
Across two Saturdays in January, the market becomes an open-air soundscape where music, movement and community meet. Whether you’re grabbing coffee, browsing the stalls, or moving to the beat, it’s a space to connect, unwind and celebrate culture through sound.

Barrioteca
I was part of the organising team for Barrioteca with El Gran Mono (Melb), where we curated the lineup and brought together DJs, dancers, and food vendors for a vibrant day-to-night fiesta. The event sold over 700 tickets and was a huge success, uniting community and creating a safe, inclusive space to celebrate culture and music.
